Ce quartier s’appelait « LA JUIVERIE » au Moyen Âge. Il était habité essentiellement par des Juifs sans qu'il y ait un caractère obligatoire, ce qui le distingue d'un ghetto. Durant les XIIe et XIIIe siècles, il s'y trouvait un puits d’eau, uniquement utilisé par ces derniers.
Certains prétendent que l'eau de ce puits était strictement réservée aux Juifs. En fait, tout le monde pouvait en consommer.
This district was called "LA JUIVERIE" in the Middle Ages. It was inhabited mainly by Jews without there being a compulsory character, which distinguishes it from a ghetto. During the 12th and 13th centuries, there was a water well there, only used by the latter.
Some claim that the water from this well was strictly for Jews. In fact, anyone could consume it.
